The technique
CALIBRATION UNITS
Our calibration units are the result of research work by the National Metrology Institute Brunswick (PTB) on measurement uncertainty of reference systems. They were largely manufactured by us and some in collaboration with the company CEH seated in Mömlingen. A great number of calibration units were also shipped to our national and international customers.
Aside from pick-up and measuring chain calibration we process different test benches and calibration units within the measuring range of 1mN·m to 150 kN·m on site and in our permanent laboratory.
Advantages of our calibration units:
In contrast to direct load systems, reference systems are
- Cheaper to manufacture
- Low to no maintenance
- Mostly wear-free
Crucial for the achievable low measuring uncertainty are for example
- The selected types of reference pick-ups
- The software used for interpolation and calculation of the characteristics and hysteresis of reference pick-ups when used in the subarea. The results of round robin tests confirm a suitability of the reference technology for expanded measuring uncertainties of 0,02% (k = 2).
